As you may have already guessed or know the Halford Hewitt for 2020 has been cancelled.

I have also been in contact with Rye Golf Club concerning the Spring Meeting on 22nd April and as the club house is currently shut and likely to be for the next 3 months so this will also not go ahead either.

I will keep you posted about up coming events if they occur and I think it sensible to assume that there will be no fixtures or matches until the current situation ends.

However most courses are open and playable with a member but the following precautions are generally being suggested to avoid contact with possibly contaminated material:

1) Leave the flags in all the time

2) Rakes have been removed from bunkers so try and rake with your feet or a club

3) Do not use ball washers

4) Expect the club house to be closed

5) If you wish to shower take your own towel

6) Do not shake hands

Apart from that enjoy your golf
