Despite murky skies we were able to play our Xmas meeting for the first time since December 2017. Both 2018 and 2019 were rained off and 2020 was the victim of the “Kent variant.”

Challenging conditions, mainly the claggy muddy clay, saw a relatively low scoring event but the team of Matt Flint, Matt Wyborn and Steve Bonner prevailed in  a field of 18 runners. Huge Avshu and Peter Dickinson walked off with prizes for the longest drive and nearest the pin.

Prior to a sumptuous Christmas lunch we held our AGM at which the Committee was elected and a set of Rules for the Society was approved.

OA’s participating in the golf  were: Duncan Anderson, Geoffrey Eclair-Heath, David Rutnam, Roger Kelly, Peter Foord, Jamie Gray, Hugo Avshu, Andre Avshu (school master),Andy Allen, Matt Flint, Matt Wyborn, Steve Bonner, Nick Donald, Brian Knight, Alex Mitchel, Peter Dickinson, John Simpson and Roger Walker. We were joined at lunch by Will Lewis, Jeremy Brewer, Mark Camp and Richard Andrade.
