A healthy 21 arrivals threw our Hon Sec into a spin, hastily re-writing the start sheets which had been based on 18-20. The morning saw two competitions running in parallel, the Camp candlesticks and the individual stableford, with the individual stableford also being played after the traditional Rye lunchtime  fayre.

Unusually a Camp was not on the winning side in the candlesticks and the trophy was carried off by the re-formed 80’s boy band of Jeremy Brewer and David Somerville. In the individual stableford John Simpson’s morning score of 35 points was good enough to see off the competition.
