Our annual match against Deal on Saturday 27th January 2024 was great fun as always.  An exceptionally close morning and afternoon set of foursomes had Dulwich sneaking it both times 3.5 to 2.5 meaning the overall match result was 7-5.  At lunch 1 spent some time remembering Tony Brewer and all those who no longer are with us or were unable to make it due to illness or other reasons.  It was the first time in my golfing life that Andrew Reynolds was not the professional.  Andrew joined Deal as the professional in 1978 at the age of 23 and served the club for 45 years.  His talk at the Hewitt Dinner in front of 798 public school golfers confirmed beyond any reasonable doubt that you didn’t need to go to Dulwich to be talented and entertaining.
